Spreading The Wealth or Is It Manure?

Posted on October 31, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves
.

Abraham Lincoln

This is a very interesting quote and right on the money. I wonder why the liberal Left who claim to be for the downtrodden haven’t noticed this from the Great Emancipator! (perhaps I spelled that wrong-it looks funny). I truly feel sorry for our nation if we indeed take this hard left. And make no mistake about it Mr. Obama has close ties to radical people…. from his pastor of 20 years Jeremiah Wright to weatherman bomber Bill Ayers who in 2006 spoke to a crowd of radical Leftists at an “Educational” forum (read anti-capitalist propaganda) praising Hugo Chavez who has become a tyrant and is sitting on his countrymen…. saying thusly that (Chavez’s) “Bolivarian Revolution and the profound educational reforms underway here in Venezuela” are impressive. He then put down American capitalism saying it “promotes racism and materialism” and “turns people into consumers, not citizens” – he then compared that to Chavez’s Venezuela saying that the police state is a “beacon to the world.” ……..these are Obama’s mentors.

Chavez’s Venezuela is a beacon to the world? What utter nonsense. Do these ’60s radicals really believe it is better to live under a police state than to move freely in one’s country? These are the same people that scream bloody muder over the Patriot Act making up bogus complaints about losses of freedom. Can they not see the hypocricy of their views? This is amazing and I’m speechless. Comments?

What Do You All Think Of This?

Posted on October 29, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the  University  of  Edinburgh  , had this to say about the fall of the  Athenian   Republic  some 2,000 years earlier:

‘A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.’

‘A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.’

‘From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.’

‘The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years’

‘During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. from bondage to spiritual faith;

2. from spiritual faith to great courage;

3. from courage to liberty;

4. from liberty to abundance;

5. from abundance to complacency;

6. from complacency to apathy;

7. from apathy to dependence;

8. from dependence back into bondage’

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law,  St. Paul ,   Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000  Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29

Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: ‘In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare…’ Olson believes the  United States  is now somewhere between the ‘complacency and apathy’ phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached the ‘governmental dependency’ phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal’s and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the   USA  in fewer than five years.

Trying To Make Your Mind For Whom To Vote?

Posted on October 23, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Readers:

   I suggest that if you haven’t voted yet to go to www.BarackObamaTest.com it takes about five minutes and the most interesting part is the summation of your voting at the end…. what surprised me were the percentages…..

And while I’m at it, Udall is the wrong person at the wrong time for our state and country…. the Congress needs to be reigned in and if it is populated by overwhelming majorities in the House and Senate it will be very dangerous for all of us… think about what unfettered liberalism will do to this nation….

Since LBJs Great Society we have given $5 trillion dollars in redictributed wealth and what exactly has it gotten us? Unfettered liberalism will give away even more and as more and more of Americans become dependent on government largess it will only end (the give-away) when people throw up their hands and stop producing… that becomes loss of freedom ladies and gents… what a nice legacy we’ll be leaving to the younger generations…. is that the lesson you, as seniors, want to convey to those younger generations?

Selfish or Selfless? Is Obama Dangerous?

Posted on October 16, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Barack Obama has now come full circle. He started out as a moderate, supposedly, even though his voting record in the Senate is that of the most active liberal to the tune of 94%. But his comments concerning Joe The Plumber has tipped his hand. Beware ladies and gentlemen. THIS MAN IS OFFICIALLY DANGEROUS!

Don’t know about Joe The Plumber? Here’s the scoop: Obama was going door-to-door to get votes and, of course, to get valuable photo ops and camera time from the sychophant media that follows him. He came upon a guy named Joe who wanted to buy a plumbing company. The one he works for by the way. He asked flatly, “Why do you want to tax me more if I make over $250,000?”

Obama, and this is a core belief ladies and gents, answered: I don’t want to penalize you for your success but I want to spread the wealth around so everybody gets some. (paraphrasing). I’m sorry people but this is socialism, at least, and communism, at worse. IT”S ALSO DAMN SCAREY!

He didn’t elaborate on how he would redistribute the wealth from one person who works hard to a person that perhaps doesn’t but the message is clear. He and his administration will decide who gets what and how. THAT IS CENTRAL PLANNING! THAT IS SOCIALISM AND IT LEADS TO LOSS OF FREEDOM, YOUR FREEDOM!

If I were Joe The Plumber I would have said one of two things in response to his words. To wit: “Mr. Obama, but if you let me keep my hard-earned money I would spend it on many varied and sundry things and create jobs. Why should somebody use my money for God knows what?” “Who are you to steal my money?” And, “O.K. then, I’ll fire a few employees and work less so I won’t make so much and you won’t tax me unfairly.”

Do you see where this dangerous dogma on the part of Obama leads? Why should a person work hard so what he earns is taken away from him. Eventually, no one works hard and the very fabric of the society breaks down because no one has an incentive to better himself. Sure, the Obama’s of the world make out great but we lose our freedom and willingness to go on.

We spent most of the last century beating down this type of ideology and now this yahoo wants to tear down everything that this country has stood for desecrating the 100’s of thousands of Americans and millions of dissidents from around the world that stood up against this ideology and paid the ultimate price. Wake up! This guy isn’t a messiah, he is a narcissist that is power hungry and is willing to become the very thing he rails against. He knows better than you how your life should be led. HE IS DANGEROUS!

There is a world of difference between selfish and selfless and I’m sure you all understand the difference. Since the days of LBJ, the American taxpayer has allowed the government to redistribute his/her wealth and much of the time much of the money was wasted and some of the money went into graft and corruption. Why else do politicians make so much money? That was a selfless act on all our parts. When we found out about how the money was being distributed, we voted in a conservative Republican House (first time in 40 years) during the Clinton years and promptly put an end to much of the waste which was not selfish but prudent.

And now this modern day Bolshevik (someone holding a collectivist ideology) wants to bring the United States to the brink of socialism with the media propagandists foolishly spewing his tripe as gospel. The man is dangerous for this country and if that’s scare tactics, then so be it. It is the truth.

When Will The Media Do Its Job?

Posted on October 6, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Are you liking the economic downturn? Really helping that old 401k now isn’t it? People are jumping ship so fast it makes one’s head spin. Many people are cashing out of stocks and buying real estate for cash!! They figure at least they have something substantial and tangible. Better than numbers on a piece of paper.

So, if you listen, see and hear the media tell the story the economic downturn is George Bush’s fault. Of course, everything that goes wrong is George Bush’s fault. Hurricanes and their aftermath are George Bush’s fault. The War on Terrorism is George Bush’s fault. Gas prices rising is George Bush’s fault. It is foolishness. And now, the economy is George Bush’s fault!!! Listen, I don’t like a lot of the things George Bush did. Most of what I don’t like are things that he signed that Democrats loved. The past four years have been Democrat lite. I can’t imagine what added debt, taxes, unemployment, interest rates, et al we would have had if a Democrat were president. Don’t forget people, that Congress is run by Democrats…. Senate and House!! Also, don’t forget that almost every time Bush and the Republicans tried to get bills started, let alone passed, the Dems wouldn’t even let the bills come to the floor for a vote. That’s called stonewalling or better yet, obstruction.

Obstruction was a ploy to derail the administration and then when things got tight, the Dems could say it was all Bush’s fault. And it worked to perfection. The media has piled on GWB unmercilessly as they did to his father and to Ronald Reagan. They do it because their world view is much different. They believe socialism works even though it hasn’t anywhere in the world. But they believe it will work if they do it. Because they can do it the right way and utopia will finally happen, don’tcha know. Problem is, with socialism comes loss of freedom. Read your history folks. But I am far afield here. Back to the economy.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were the personal playground for everyone Democrat. GWB as far back as 2001 kept calling for stricter oversight and the Dems turned him away. In 2004 the Republicans kept calling for stricter oversight but were cowed by the Democrats who came ever-so-close to calling the Republicans racists, so they backed off. In 2005 John McCain (I’m not really a fan of his) brought forth a bill to Congress that would force Mae and Mac to come under stricter scrutiny. The Dems shot that down also. So jump ahead and look where we are. The very Democrats, Reid, Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, Schumer, Obama, et al who caused the mess and stopped any oversight the past seven years and beyond are the ones who are taking credit for fixinf the mess. And Mae and Mac donated money. Why? I don’t know but Dodd tops the list of donees and Barcak Obama is second on that same list. How he got to second in just three short years baffles me. What baffles me more is why Mae and Mac are favoring anyone with political donations.

Pelosi and Obama are prancing around blaming the economic problems on the Bush Administration and the media, as always, has turned a blind eye and reported that it is indeed GWB’s fault. The media do us a disservice. They are no more than propagandists. We are watching unfold before our eyes the United States hurtling toward socialism. The difference between the U.S. and Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela is that when he got control the first thing he did was take over the media. There wouldn’t be any outlets for dissent in his country. In the U.S. the only outlet for dissent right now is talk radio and to a certain extent, Fox News. That’s it. Every other outlet, AP, Network News, Cable News, all the major newspapers and magazines, and even publically funded radio and television speak as one. It’s scary. And if you don’t believe me, look up the Fairness Doctrine, that will effectively kill talk radio. The one place where America can go as a refuge from the Left and socialism, the Left wants to silence! That’s socialism folks.

Perhaps I am wrong. Perhaps the media IS doing its job. It is slowly but surely tearing down what made America great during the Greatest Generation’s reign! John McCain was a big part of the Greatest Generation’s reign. He will be the last stalwart of the Greatest Generation.

Blaming GWB for things that he did do is patriotic, but making things up on the fly and having a media that mimics those made up things is not patriotic, it is unfair at the least, and borders on criminal. Enough!

Godspeed
